here are some pics of mer and ben's rehearsal dinner. it was out side in the backyard of ben's parents house. i flew to chicago this last weekend to be in meredith's wedding. rehearsal was on fri sep 1st and the wedding was on sunday sep. 3rd. it was so fun to see everyone and share this special time.

here's some more pics of my trip to rhode island.....it's really the only fun thing i've done recently. my emergency medicine rotation is halfway over and i've really enjoyed it so far. i've done quite a bit of suturing people and i get to see a lot of cool stuff...cool to me at least :) mike comes back in 8 days!!!! how fun for me...can't wait to see him. my next rotation is surgery and i am really excited about that!

some lady friends of mine and i recently visited the glorious mansions of newport rhode island. it was a great time as we strolled through these magnificent homes. we visited two mansions and had a fabulous lunch in between.

isn't this such a great picture? it just captures the theme of "summer time" lounging around in the water watching a beautiful sunset. aaaaaaah, wish i could be there! mike comes home aug 14th.....bout time huh? i'm doing fine and dandy, working long hours saving lives in the emergency room (not really) :) we had someone flown in by helicopter the other day...pretty cool! such is my life right now..filled with studying medicine...and i do love it!

Done with my 1st rotation!!!

so i'm done with my first rotation in psychiatry and i'm moving on to the next rotation in emergency medicine. everything is going really well. mike is coming back from key west mid august so i'll be looking forward to that. i miss family and friends but this is my year of no days off. not much new stuff going on, my psych rotation went really well and i really enjoyed it. who knew? i don't have new pics really...but i'll try to take some soon.

GO GATORS!!! i hope everyone is gearing up for this football season...you better watch out... the gators are looking' mighty fine this season.

birthday celebrations!!!

hi friends---
well, last friday was mike's bday (the 9th) and yesterday was my bday the 16th. we were obviously apart since mike is in key west and i'm in CT. nonetheless, i had a great birthday. i went out with a bunch of my girlie friends for a great dinner and dessert and live jazz music....it was so fun. unfortunately i forgot my camera so no pics available. mike celebrated his birthday with his parents and grandma who drove down to visit him for the weekend. i miss that boy a bunch but am doing fine. i'm on my psych rotation and it's going well. i enjoy the people and it seems like they're glad to have me there. i don't think it is the field for me but it sure is interesting. nothing much besides that is going on. i miss everyone....it's weird living alone..i'm used to having roomies. much love,

Sorry it's been a while but I had 3 weeks off and went to FL to see the fam and then to CA for the national PA conference. I'm officially a 2 nd year and start rotations tomorrow. My 1st one is psych, then ER and then surgery. I'm super excited and super nervous at the same time. I'm posting various pics so enjoy :)

Well Mike is now in the Keys, I've been here for 2 weeks. Summer camp is underway and it is going great, it's fun but it's exhausting. It's crazy hot here so it's nice that I live on the water.
